Welcome to the chronicles of a sociology graduate student mom. My husband and I left our relatively comfortable life and moved to a new city so that I could pursue my master’s and doctorate degrees. With our income halved, we lived near the poverty level during my 8 years of school. We had three school aged boys along for the ride, which added to the challenge!

I wrote this blog to help keep us accountable and also to demonstrate what we did with little money. I posted big and little monetary triumphs and failures as we lived busy lives on a limited income.
